Note: Ryu has many variations of his light confirms. Just remember that your light confirms should always end in sLP. Ryu can also combo into QCB+LP and QCF+HP from his light confirms but you generally want to avoid those cancels because they don’t lead into a knockdown.

Note: You can always extend your combos further with additional DR cancels but you will burn out quickly. Only do extended DR combos if you know the combo will kill or it puts your opponent in kill range.

AIR TO AIR COMBOS
- jMP (2 hits), DP+HP or PP – Ryu has to land first before inputting DP+HP or PP
- jMP (2 hits) xx jQCB+HK or KK – Ryu can cancel his jMP into Air (OD) Tatsu. Near the corner, Ryu can extend his combo after jQCB+KK (He can combo into DP+HP or PP OR Level 1/2/3/CA Super)
SIDE SWITCH COMBOS
- Any cancellable medium/heavy normal xx QCB+HK – Ryu’s main meterless side switch combo (Best used when Ryu’s back is to the corner)
- (Ryu’s back is to the corner) DI (PC), Backdash, (Slight delay) sHP xx QCF+KK, Dash, DP+LP – Ryu’s main side switch combo when landing a Punish Counter Drive Impact with his back to the corner
